If there was any CBD line that would give PureKana a run for its money, it is NuLeaf naturals CBD oil. Based out of Denver, this brand is a well-established ambassador for CBD in all forms, and its CBD oil is top-notch. With organic ingredients, full-spectrum tinctures, bulk-buy options, and a simple dosing schedule, NuLeaf establishes itself as a CBD brand that encourages loyalty.

PureKana is not to be spoken about as though it doesn’t have formidable strengths of its own. On the contrary, the PureKana brand can claim its strengths with choice, transparency, value, and innovation. By expanding itself to fit the needs of beginners and seasoned users, and finicky users who prefer a variety of flavors to choose from, PureKana oil remains a popular choice for any CBD user.

But which brand comes on top in a matchup, based on several factors and critical metrics? Read on to find out.

For fairness’ sake, we will only review the singular CBD oils for each brand, bypassing spinoff versions of CBD oils that contain targeted ingredients for sleep, joint, or immune health.

Product overview

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil

Founded in 2014 and decidedly ahead of the game to see the impending CBD explosion, NuLeaf CBD prides itself on transparency, bringing you high potency CBD free of pesticides, mycotoxins, fungi, and mold. NuLeaf also uses green technology for its extraction process. With only a natural flavor available, you will get 30 mg per half dropper and concentration options ranging from 300mg to 6000 mg of CBD (10 serving supply to 200 serving supply).

PureKana CBD Oil

PureKana’s extensive line of CBD oil ranges in doses from 7.5mg to 83.3mg of CBD in a serving, with the highest concentration of CBD being 5000mg in a 1oz bottle. Its flavors include Vanilla, Mint, Citrus, Natural, and Fruit.

How They Stack Up

Purity and Extract Type

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil gives you a high-quality full-spectrum dose of CBD, complete with all terpenes and cannabinoids that naturally occur in hemp extracts. Made from organic hemp sourced in Colorado, and extraction process uses a supercritical CO2 extraction process for maximum potency and purity.

PureKana CBD Oil provides quality full-spectrum CBD sourced from USA-made Kentucky hemp. Free of GMOs, pesticides, and fertilizers, you get a clean dose of CBD though the ingredients are not from organic sources.

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil boasts formidable concentrations of full-spectrum CBD, up to 6000 mg in a 3.38 oz bottle, providing a very economical 200 servings of CBD dosed at 30 mg per half-dropper. However, the total concentrations within one bottle can be misleading, as you only get a maximum of 60 mg per full dropper with NuLeaf CBD.

PureKana CBD Oil succeeds in offering very high levels of CBD per dropper, going up to 5000 mg in a 2 oz bottle. This gives users an 83.3 mg dose of CBD per recommended serving (a half dropper). A full dropper doubles an already large amount to 166.6 mg.

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil goes as low as ten servings in a 5 ml bottle, up to 200 servings in a 3.38 oz bottle.

PureKana CBD Oil comes in only two supply quantities: 40 and 60 day/dosing counts.

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil ranges from around $30 to just under $400 depending on servings and concentration and size purchased, meaning you are paying anywhere from $2 to $3 per serving.

PureKana CBD Oil has concentrations starting at $54 up to $390. At PureKana’s serving sizes, you are paying $1.35 to $6.50 per serving, depending on the concentration.

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil comes with only natural, unflavored CBD oil in all of its concentrations, limiting choice for those who like their oils to be flavored.

PureKana CBD Oil comes in the following flavors: Vanilla, Mint, Fruity, Natural, and Citrus.

Our Take

This matchup pits two powerful industry staples together, making choosing one over the other difficult. NuLeaf works with the purest organic ingredients to give users a safe, healthy product with a simple dosing schedule. On the other hand, PureKana ensures quality through non-GMO ingredients and formidably high doses and various flavors.

NuLeaf succeeds in ensuring a long-lasting, economical product by offering CBD oil with supplies as high as 200 servings. The downside is that the maximum dose you can take with NuLeaf’s oils is 60 mg of CBD, the maximum in one full dropper.

PureKana boasts doses as high as 166 mg of CBD in a full dropper, but only at a supply of 30 days.

NuLeaf is economically priced compared to PureKana, supplying hefty as 200 servings, but PureKana counteracts this by giving users the options of flavored CBD; NuLeaf’s products have no flavor at all.

For this reason, we are going to call this a draw. Lots of thought went into making these two very high-quality CBD brands. As a result, any drawbacks or issues with one brand are counteracted by the other, creating a pretty satisfactory stalemate between the two.

At PureKana, we always give our brand a hearty endorsement since we want to serve as ambassadors for what we believe to be an industry standard. However, with NuLeaf picking up some slack and engaging in a strategy slightly different from ours, we can safely say any CBD user is in good hands with their brand.
