In the world of supplements, you would be surprised how picky consumers get about their pills (in this case, we are talking about CBD pills). Nevertheless, CBD capsules are an expected cornerstone of any CBD brand, regardless of whether gummies or tinctures tend to move the most units. After all, what is more classic, simple, and convenient than CBD gel caps? CBD softgel pills incorporate accurate dosing, minimal additives, and efficient delivery systems to make these the CBD industry’s more affordable and convenient products.

Based in Colorado, Joy Organics is a CBD brand that has forged its own identity in the industry thanks to its unique beginnings (it is named after its founder). Joy Organics has developed CBD gel capsules with melatonin/CBN and curcumin versions in their arsenal, making these products stand out in the market for utilizing more novel herbs and cannabinoids.

PureKana has also innovated its brand to include softgels, veggie caps, and your daily capsule; these capsules come in various versions, from your standard CBD fare to ones that target sleep, immunity, and daytime energy needs.

Below, we compare these two brands’ efforts on their CBD pill line and let you know our thoughts at the end. Read on for more.

Product overview

Joy Organics CBD Softgels

Joy Organics has developed a premium line of softgels that incorporate added compounds for enhanced effectiveness and targeted needs like sleep or joint health, at 25 mg a softgel. These softgels are single-serve, even with Joy Organics’ curcumin and sleep editions. Broad-spectrum CBD is used for these softgels. Our Take

While veggie capsules and softgels are not the most exciting way to take CBD, they are the most reliable, convenient, and relatively inexpensive version of taking CBD. In the case of Joy Organics and PureKana, the standard approach has been to ensure the consumer has options, combining CBD’s known benefits with essential formulas and ingredients that provide foundational support for CBD’s healthiest known effects.

Ingredient quality in both of these brands is nothing out of the ordinary; both brands do their best to stick to the cleanest and most efficient way to ensure fast-track delivery of the ingredients without compromising any of the good stuff; there are no crazy unpronounceable preservatives here in either brand, so we deem this metric a draw.

The strength and concentration of CBD products is a matchup that PureKana wins due to its 40 mg potency. Although Joy Organics maintains consistency with its 25 mg dosing, it does not hit the heights of PureKana.

Value is a metric that Joy Organics just slightly edges out on, as their highest potency dosing will run you around $80.00, and PureKana’s line of CBD capsules mostly stays at the $83.00 range for multiple sizes and concentrations. And because neither brand strays from the 30-day supply standard, they both tie here.

Lastly, PureKana’s product range narrowly defeats the competition due to having three versions versus Joy Organics’ 2 versions. In addition, joy Organics can claim sleep health and joint health versions of its CBD capsules, but PureKana can claim sleep health, healthy energy, and immunity as versions of its CBD capsules.

For being able to edge out Joy Organics in multiple categories, we give this round to PureKana!
