The world of sleep supplements and over-the-counter treatments have gone through a significant sea-change since CBD arrived on the scene and brought all of its therapeutic, relaxing benefits. As a result, more and more CBD brands are releasing CBD-based sleep aids as part of their product lineup, and each brand has its own tailored, specific approach to giving consumers an effective, relaxing sleep aid.

That brings us to Charlotte’s Web gummies, one of the most well-known CBD brands. By developing a sleep-aid of their own, with a cannabinoid base and a dose of melatonin, taking care to offer a product based on transparency, simplicity, and healthful ingredients. And with PureKana gummies, we took care to develop a sleep aid of our own, making sure to offer the consumer a product that would bring quick relief in the form of a night of quality rest by also adding a dose of melatonin to our formula.

Below, we will compare both products and see which one emerges victorious.

Product overview

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies contain 20 mg of total phytocannabinoids per 2 gummy serving, alongside 3 mg of melatonin. All ingredients are from natural sources. One serving also gives you 1 gram of fiber. Certificate of Analysis is searchable by lot number after the product purchase.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies

PureKana CBD gummies get a sleep edition, a brand new approach to CBD-based sleep aids by including a little-known cannabinoid CBN as part of its active ingredients. 2 mg of melatonin and some herbal extracts like chamomile complete this all-natural, vegan sleep aid, which has Certificates of Analysis directly on PureKana’s product page.

How They Stack Up

CBD Oil Purity and Extract Type

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies contain full-spectrum hemp extract, with all phytocannabinoids included for enhanced effects.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies contain a broad spectrum extract of CBD, with all beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes present except for THC.

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies contain 20 mg of hemp extract with all phytocannabinoids presenting at least a 50% standardization, meaning at least 10 mg of phytocannabinoids are active ingredients like CBD or CBN. As of this writing, we cannot discern how much CBD is in a serving. These sleep gummies already contain about 2 mg of melatonin.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies contain 25 mg of CBD per gummy, with 5 mg of another cannabinoid called CBN included. This remains one of the most potent CBD gummies on the market and contains 2 mg of melatonin.

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies come in 3 versions, at 30, 60, and 90 gummies per bottle, ranging from $29.99 to $56.99. So you can expect to be paying anywhere from a dollar and some change to $2.00 per gummy.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies come in a single size, at 60 gummies for $89.99, making every serving of a gummy about a $1.50 cost.

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies offer servings of 30, 60, and 90, and at two gummies per serving, you get anywhere from 2 weeks, a month, to a month and a half supply.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies come in one size only, at 60 gummies, giving you 2-month longevity and supply  (instructions say take up to 2 gummies daily, but most users find that 25 mg of CBD is a significant enough amount for a gummy).

Ingredient Quality

Charlotte’s Web Sleep Gummies contain all-natural and/or organic ingredients,  free of unnatural preservatives and fillers, with USA-grown hemp.

PureKana Sleep Aid Gummies are 100% vegan, with high-quality ingredients and zero synthetic fillers or preservatives. The CBD and CBN are sourced from 100% USA Kentucky-grown hemp.

Sleep aids require tangible effects and effective ingredients, and on the surface, neither PureKana nor Charlotte’s Web has failed in this regard. Both use high-quality hemp oil extracts harvested here in the United States, and both avoid fillers or nasty synthetic ingredients. In addition, melatonin, a relatively safe naturally occurring nighttime hormone that is the bedrock of many sleep aids, is included in both gummies. And both avoid infusing the gummies with unnecessary sugars.

Both Charlotte’s Web and PureKana use high-quality sourced hemp to put in their gummies. However, Charlotte’s Web is vague at best on its product page when discerning how much of the most beneficial and popular cannabinoid (CBD) is actually in a gummy serving. For example, 20 mg of total phytocannabinoids are in a serving of 2 gummies, 10 of which are purported to be CBD. Still, the official label does not list the 10 mg of CBD, instead saying 10 mg of the 20 mg hemp extract is naturally occurring cannabinoids.

By contrast, PureKana provides an exact dosage per gummy of 25 mg of CBD, sourced from broad-spectrum CBD. This gives PureKana the edge for CBD concentration and an edge ingredient-wise by adding the novel cannabinoid CBN. A compound said to have calming and relaxing effects that work with CBD.

Value for both brands is relatively parallel, with both averaging about $1.50 per gummy served, accounting for PureKana’s lack of choice when it comes to supply.

Supply is where Charlotte’s Web gets a significant edge, with options starting at 30-count, 60-count, and 90-count. This gives the consumer flexibility and added value.

Lastly, ingredient quality is another draw, with both brands using all-natural, high-quality ingredients sourced from hemp grown right here in the United States.

Overall, we have to honor PureKana once again for prioritizing potency and synergy among its active ingredients. Criticisms about its one-size option are dulled because you get more bang for your buck when choosing PureKana. For many, this is the bottom line.

This round to PureKana!
