When Charlotte’s Web was founded in 2014, a commitment was made on the part of the founders to create a business dedicated to sustainability and environmental justice. Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil remains a unique wellness brand with an overarching message of sustainability and environmental ethics in a world plagued by an unfolding climate crisis.

PureKana, similarly committed to educating its customer base, prides itself on environmentally friendly products and is free of pesticides, GMOs, and fertilizers. As a result, PureKana oil CBD drops are often competing with those of other brands, usually finding themselves with an edge as a relatively well put-together standalone brand.

Both brands have an enviable line of CBD oil products that range in dosing and concentration and are premiere brands that have an established following. Below, we will compare and contrast these two brands and conclude with our take as to which brand is a stronger purchase.

Product overview

Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil

Charlotte’s Web has a line of CBD products made with the highest quality USA-grade hemp. The vast majority of these CBD oils contain full-spectrum hemp extract, with CBD isolate alternatives. Certificate of Analysis is also available after purchase, searchable by lot number. Numerous flavors in each concentration strength are also available.

PureKana CBD Oil

PureKana’s extensive line of CBD oil ranges in doses from 7.5mg to 83.3mg of CBD in a serving, with the highest concentration of CBD being 5000mg in a 1oz bottle. Its flavors include Vanilla, Mint, Citrus, Natural, and Fruit, made with all-natural ingredients.

PureKana is highly transparent about its products, offering Certificates of Analysis on all of its product pages that are also regularly updated so that the consumer can feel secure about their selections.

How They Stack Up

Purity and Extract Type

Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil comes in full-spectrum tinctures, complete with all vital cannabinoids and terpenes. CBD Isolate options are also available for those who do not wish to ingest certain cannabinoids. Charlotte’s Web also relies on the purest organic and non-GMO ingredients.

PureKana CBD Oil also comes in full-spectrum tinctures, including beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes. Unfortunately, CBD Isolates and broad-spectrum tinctures are not available from PureKana as of this writing. However, PureKana provides an array of CBD drops for targeted relief: immunity, anxiety, stress, and joint health. PureKana also delivers fully vegan, organic, and non-GMO ingredients.

Strength

Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil starts at 7 mg per 1 ml dropper, increasing its strength to 60 mg per dropper. Midrange doses are about 25 mg per dropper.

PureKana CBD Oil has a range of strengths ranging from 300 mg concentrations to 5000 mg, offering up to 166.6 mg of CBD in one full dropper. In addition, there is a wide variety and range of dosing, with ample choices for any consumer.

Servings/Supply

Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil comes in traditional 20 to 30-day supplies, with its highest concentrations coming in a whopping 100 to 200 day customizable supply.

PureKana CBD Oil comes in only two supply quantities for all concentrations: 40 and 60 day/dosing counts. Its higher concentrations are similarly customizable as with Charlotte’s Web’s products. However, with such a high amount of options in terms of supply and concentrations, users may opt for one of the provided doses that suits their needs best.

Value

Charlotte’s Web boasts 100-serving 60 mg potency tinctures at $274.99, at $2.74 a serving. Mid-range and lower doses will run about $1.25-1.50 per serving.

PureKana CBD Oil, as of this writing, has concentrations starting at $54 up to $390. At PureKana’s serving sizes, you are paying $1.35 to $6.50 per serving, depending on the concentration. Customizable doses at the higher end are possible, adding to the value.

Flavors

Charlotte’s Web CBD Oil comes in Mint Chocolate, Olive Oil, Orange Blossom, and Lemon Twist.

PureKana CBD Oil comes in the following flavors: Vanilla, Mint, Fruity, Natural, and Citrus.

Our Take

Brands with strict quality control like PureKana and Charlotte’s Web will always result in comparisons that put any matchup of products in a neck and neck race. Unfortunately, this matchup is no different, as you may have noticed yourself after analyzing the rundown of characteristics of both Charlotte’s Web and PureKana’s CBD oils.

Both brands believe in the power of full-spectrum extracts with all beneficial terpenes and cannabinoids included. However, Charlotte’s Web sets itself apart by including THC-free extracts for those weary of ingesting other cannabinoids other than CBD.

On the flipside, PureKana one-ups Charlotte’s Web with its stratospheric concentrations, as high as 166 mg of CBD in a one dropper dose. Charlotte’s Web, by comparison, only goes as high as 60 mg.

Then again, when it comes to supply and serve quantity, Charlotte’s Web blows PureKana out of the water with its mammoth 100 and 200-day customizable servings; PureKana offers similar customizable doses in its higher concentrations but little room for such in its moderate to low concentrations.

Value for both brands is similar in pricing.

The takeaway is that this is a deadlocked matchup, and this writer finds it hard to make a complete judgment call on which CBD oil is worth more of your attention.

We will call this one a draw.
